Wonchan Lee — Synesthesia: Shibuya-kei
Posted on July 29, 2012
Wonchan Lee investigates Synesthesia by interpreting music into typographic outcomes.
Synesthesia is the production of a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body (i.e. if a person with synesthesia drinks coffee, he/she might see colours or hear certain sound.)
Inspired by Australian typographer Dominique Falla, I tried to interpret the music genre I listen to; Shibuya-kei which is a mix of jazz, house, brazilian, electronic music, originated in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Wonchan Lee is studying a Bachelor of Design / Communication Design at RMIT.
