Estelle Holland — Recent Works

Posted on October 31, 2012

Estelle Holland’s work questions the absurdities of existence and the fragility of the human condition.

Holland’s practice is concerned with the fleeting moment and the shared anxiety of time passing. She creates systems which challenge the infallibility of our surrounding environment and often uses the loop and repetition as a tool to create metaphors of being. The action of drawing and animation are dominant in her work although she uses a variety of media in order to illustrate her constant questioning of the everyday.

Estelle Holland studied a Master of Fine Art (Fine Art Media) at the Slade School of Fine Arts.
