Catherine Peacock investigates the meeting of soft-focus and contrast in black and white photography.

O B S E R V E R. began as a series of self-portraits and exploratory photographs taken at dusk, and has evolved into a collection of disparate insights in the the sub-conscious and dreams. I am enchanted by the meeting of soft-focus and contrast coupled with movement to convey a sense of the other-worldly and the ‘not quite there’.

Catherine Peacock is studying a Bachelor of Visual Communication at the University of Tasmania.
